Agreement Signed to Expand Human Resource Scholarship
The Ministry of Economic Affairs has announced that the Government of Japan will offer a grant of 379 million Japanese Yen through the Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program to support higher education for Pakistani government officials. The purpose of this initiative is to support Pakistan in building a stronger and more skilled public sector workforce.
As part of this collaboration, 16 federal government employees will be selected to study for a master’s degree at prestigious Japanese institutions. These individuals will receive full funding, including tuition, living expenses, and travel costs.

Ongoing Partnership Since 2018
This program has already sent seven batches of Pakistani government officials to Japan since 2018, focusing on areas such as economics, public policy, and development planning. The new batch will continue this journey of professional growth and cross-cultural exchange.
