PTI Protests Outside IHC After Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi Bail Hearing Delayed

ISLAMABAD: Supporters and leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gathered outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to protest after the bail hearing of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case was delayed once again.


Hearing Dropped Due to Judge Being Absent

The hearing was meant to be heard by a two-judge panel led by Acting Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar. However, since Justice Muhammad Asif was on leave, the case was removed from the schedule for the day.


Prominent PTI Figures Join Protest

The postponement upset many PTI members and prompted them to gather outside the court in protest. Among those present were:

  • Aleema & Uzma Khan (sisters of Imran Khan)
  • Alia Hamza, PTI Punjab Organizer
  • Senator Seeme Ezdi
  • Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, PTI Chairman
  • Ali Amin Gandapur, CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The protestors demanded the immediate release of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi and the dismissal of charges in the corruption case.


Next Bail Hearing Set for June 11

Previously, the Islamabad High Court delayed the hearing to give the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) additional time to organize its legal case.


Nationwide Protest Campaign Announced by Imran Khan

In a related development, Imran Khan has decided to launch a nationwide protest campaign against the current government.
Senator Ali Zafar highlighted that the protest drive will expand outside Islamabad and take place in several cities nationwide

He mentioned that Imran Khan, currently imprisoned, has instructed the party to take his case to the public. All guidance for the protest movement will come directly from him.
